Description Solid Mechanics has been written for use by undergraduate students of mechanical engineering and related disciplines. Adapted from Hulse and Cain's Structural Mechanics it uses the same distinctive programmed learning format which has been perfected over the course of that book's twelve year history. The text adopts a student-centred learning approach such that students can work at their own pace and assess their own progress through the use of carefully constructed questions and graded practical problems.
